3M is seeking a Healthcare Field Service Technician for the Health Care Infection Prevention Division located in the Northern California, Oregon and Washington territory (San Francisco:primary, Sacramento, Seattle or Portland:secondary). Be part of what's next
Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of 3M Healthcare Field Service Technician will be responsible to manage their assigned territory providing field service and technical support on assigned equipment, delivering In:Service training, actively selling service agreements and generating new sales leads as well as backing up surrounding territories as needed. This role provides the primary technical support (helping customers over the phone and e:mail) and field service on 3M(TM) Steri:Vac(TM) bit.ly/1hnGwT0 and other assigned products.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
: Installing, troubleshooting and repairing assigned equipment including 3M(TM) Steri:Vac(TM) Sterilizers in hospital and industrial environments.
: Providing Preventive Maintenance (PM's)
: Consulting to and providing In:Service training for customers
: Selling Service agreements, charge service activities and generating sales leads on 3M products
: Willingness to be on:call
: Manage van, parts and tools inventory
: Build positive customer relationships and deliver "best in class" service experiences
Basic Qualifications:
: Technical diploma or higher from an accredited institution
: Minimum three (3) years of experience providing service on hardware products
Preferred Qualifications:
: Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field from an accredited institution
: Experience in troubleshooting and repair of hospital equipment (including Military Biomedical Equipment Repair training)
: Strong time and territory management experience
: Excellent oral and written communication skills
: Strong desire for continuous learning
: Previous experience working in a hospital environment
: Valid driver's license and good driving record
Location: Northern California, Oregon, Washington area (San Francisco:primary, Sacramento, Seattle or Portland:secondary)
Service Territory: Primarily in California, Oregon, Washington and Montana
Travel: Includes daily travel mostly within the territory with the potential for up to 35 overnight travel
Relocation: Is not authorized
