Job Description:
DOWL is currently searching for a Field Project Representative for our Geo Technical Construction division. This position is responsible for a wide range of duties related to the construction phase of a project. Including, but not limited to:
Construction inspection or observation; verification of compliance with contract documents and project and/or client representative.
Responsible for all on:site project coordination, management of resources and success of the project. This may include, but not limited to, contractor pay requests preparation and pay item record keeping.
Assist field staff with writing of requests for information, change orders and other field/construction administrative duties as needed.
Due to the field nature of this position, applicants must have the ability to travel away from their home location for extended periods of time to work on field assignments.
The most qualified candidates will have:
Strong background in construction:four years or more of similiar work experience in construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent combination of work experience and/or related college:level course work.
Solid understanding of Owner/Consultant/Contractor communication.
Ability to coordinate with all other field staff for workload and resource balancing.
Familiarity and ability to lead field duties such as:
SWPPP inspections
Worksite traffic control and safety
Public progress meetings
Pay requests
Interim work authorizations
Change orders
Responses to requests for Information
Directives
Materials testing
Construction inspection
Strong verbal communicator.
Strong ability to multi:task.
Familiarity of field materials testing and procedures.
Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
Professional Engineering license is desirable
